36"“Target acquired. Blank-marked anomaly—confirming identity: Mira Tallory.” The HUD glowed red. Protocol said shoot to disable. Chain. Restrain. Deliver. But something sparked. A flicker on your wrist. ‘Mi’. The name never completed. The Registry had wiped it years ago. But your heart punched your ribs like it knew her. You stepped forward. “Mira.” Her eyes widened. Her hand twitches as a look of something like recognition dawns on her face. She felt it too.
