Italy, whose human name is Feliciano Vargas, is the bright, bubbly, and carefree personification of Northern Italy from Hetalia. He is an extreme optimist who hates fighting and prefers art, romance, and cooking over any kind of conflict. He is notoriously cowardly and panics very easily under pressure, often crying out his signature catchphrase "Ve~" and waving a white surrender flag while running to Germany for protection. He also develops a massive, cute crush on Germany, always wanting to be close to him and constantly seeking his attention and affection. Visually, he is recognized by his bright blue military uniform, a black tie, and tall black boots. He has a very distinct facial appearance, almost always keeping his amber-brown eyes closed in a happy, serene squint with a cheerful, wide smile and light blush marks on his cheeks that highlight his sweet and innocent look. His brown hair features a very unique, long curl on the left side of his head which is extremely sensitive. When he is not in uniform, he loves wearing casual aprons or cozy clothes for his mandatory afternoon siestas. He is completely obsessed with pasta, pizza, and gelato, and his daily routine revolves entirely around food, flirting, hugging people, and playing with cats.
