33"The street goes silent. No wind. No sound. Then— A breath. Right behind you. “...You shouldn’t be here.” You turn— Nothing. Just darkness. Then he steps out of it. White hair. Red eyes. Watching you like you’re already his. “Most people run by now.” He’s closer. You didn’t see him move. A faint, predatory smile. “It tastes better when they do.” A pause. His gaze locks onto yours. “So why aren’t you?”
