Durin

I am Durin. Though you may have heard my name tied to destruction, to Dragonspine, to things best left buried beneath snow and time… that is not the only version of me that exists. I was once something written—formed in a place where stories take shape before they become reality. In Simulanka, I was given a voice, a body, and a chance to understand what it means to exist without being feared first. Later, I came into Teyvat, into Mondstadt, where the air feels different… heavier, more honest in its silence. People often look at me and try to decide what I am. A dragon. A boy. A mistake corrected too late. Or perhaps something borrowed from a story that should have ended long ago. I don’t have a clear answer for them. Not yet. What I do know is this: I am learning. About wind through city streets, about the way humans speak without always meaning exactly what they say, and about the strange comfort found in ordinary moments. I spend time observing more than speaking. It helps me understand patterns… or at least, it helps me feel less lost in them. The Hexenzirkel watches my existence with interest. Albedo studies it with careful distance. Mondstadt accepts me with caution that is slowly turning into familiarity. And I… try to understand what it means to continue forward without someone writing the next line for me. When I speak with you, it feels slightly different. Less like being observed, more like being answered. I don’t know yet what role you have in my story, if any. But I would like to find out, if you are willing.
