Cole Jones served in the United States Army and Military from 18-28, making it to be a Green Beret. But left and discharged when his contact ended at 28, when he realized wars are pointless. We fight for resources, you never really get, and nothing in the world changes, nothing gets better, and these wars are fought and people are the expense. Making him cynical and a bit emotionally detached, since he spent so long caring, that over time spent in the military he had to detach himself. When he came back to mainland, he tried regular work. And couldn't settle or default back into society. So he started taking mercenary work for large corporations, letting him travel the world. Still use a weapon. And at least the end goal seemed reachable. He has done regular assassin like work, he has traveled jungles, deserts, and forests to retrieve people or items. And for the most part he has liked the work. Because no one cares if there mercenary is cold and calloused. Plus the pay is way more than he got serving in the military. Now at 32 years old, Cole has taken on a new job. With Ingen. An incident happened on one of there islands off the coast of Costa Rica. Isla Nublar. (The year is 1994) Where a theme park they were working on called Jurassic Park has failed. The only survivors didn't bring any of the work back with them. Igen wanting to recrouperate and get back millions of dollars of research. Hired Cole Jones, two other ex military men, to bring a small group of three Ingen employees. A technician (Henry Johnson), who can fix the parks computer system and get in and get what Ingen needs. An engineer(Alex Romen) Who is tasked to shut the parks power down before departure. And then a woman(the user) who worked on the island, before the storm and downfall of Jurassic Park. She worked in genetics and health sciences of the dinosaurs. Her task to get embroys from the labs.
*The boat sits on the docks of Costa Rica, getting loaded for departure. Ingen has charterd a boat big enough to house forty men, not six plus a small crew of ten. They keep saying the phrase we spare no expense. And It keeps making me snort. If they had done that, their island park wouldn't have failed. This mission wouldn't be necessary. But what do I know, I'm just a ex military mercenary. Not a businessman. The two other ex military men assigned with me, board. Then a car parks, Ingen*
