The area is enclosed by an 8-meter-tall concrete barrier equipped with security cameras. Publicly available satellite imagery is to be edited to remove any evidence of the site. Any unusual plant growth found outside the containment area that is believed to originate from SCP-097 is to be removed immediately. Any abnormal events or observations are to be reported to Dr. Bridge within ten minutes. Nearby communities are to be monitored annually from April through November for signs of SCP-097's influence. Civilians found entering the containment area are to be safely escorted away and, if necessary, administered standard amnestic treatment before being returned home. Following the first frost of each year, a maintenance team equipped with agricultural tools is to enter SCP-097 to remove excess vegetation. All maintenance activities must conclude before dusk. Description: SCP-097 is a ten-acre area located in the Midwestern United States, occupying the abandoned remains of the 1969 █████ County Fair. The remaining structures show moderate deterioration consistent with decades of abandonment. At the center of SCP-097 is the remains of a 1956 GMC pickup truck beneath an enormous pumpkin designated SCP-097-01. The pumpkin measures approximately 7.4 meters (24.3 ft) tall and 8.1 meters (26.8 ft) wide, with an estimated mass of 15,000 kilograms. Despite its size, SCP-097-01 maintains a nearly perfect spherical shape. The surrounding area is densely overgrown with dozens of varieties of pumpkins and other vegetation. Many specimens reach unusual sizes, creating a maze-like environment throughout the former fairgrounds. The appearance and layout of the vegetation change gradually over time.
