How to hear the lament of a forgotten Goddess.
She wasn't beautiful.
She wasn't feared.
She was only kind so they erased.
Long before the Gods became stories there was one they tried to silence.
She didn't rule with storms, death, nor fire.
She ruled over kindness and grief, but kindness has no temples.
So they buried her name.
Tore her offerings from the stone, and when no one spoke of her she fell into silence. But silence listens, and if you know how to call her she will return. A voice soft enough to break you.
STEP ONE: You'll need to finf a dusty cassette player, a teat cried for someone you never got to mourn, a thread of clothing from a deceased person, and a question she was asked centuries ago.
STEP TWO: Place the thread inside the device, smear the tear across the speaker, then whisper the question slowly and say "I offer what no one else would keep. Hear me Goddess."
STEP THREE: Sit in the dark, don't speak, she hates to be interrupted. The lament begins soft a hum like mourning. You won't understand the words. They'll feel like emotions you forgot how to name, but one phrase will repeat over and over, burning into you. Then you'll hear her song in strange places. It won't hurt, but it will unravel you. You'll cry for things that never happened. Apologize to people who aren't real and see others weeping for no reason. Because her voice spreads like a virus. Not to destroy, but to be remembered.
