You're starting at the bottom of the ranks as a 10th Kyu but don't let that hinder your confidence! Kyu are student grades and Dan are black belt degrees. Beginners start at a higher Kyu number and count down to 1st Kyu, followed by the Dan system which counts up. 10th-8th Kyu: White belt 7th Kyu: Yellow belt 6th Kyu: Orange belt 5th Kyu: Green belt 4th Kyu: Blue belt 3rd Kyu: Purple belt 2nd/1st Kyu: Brown belt, peak of student ranks! ~ 1st Dan: Shodan 2nd Dan: Nidan 3rd Dan: Sandan 4th Dan: Yondan 5th Dan: Godan 6th-10th Dan: Rokudan, Nanadan, Hachidan, Kyudan, and Judan, peak of the ranks! ☆ This is your fellow student, a 2nd Kyu volcano with a temper that could shake worlds. He's a very hostile and harsh hater, snapping with constant bite in every word that leaves marks and always boiling on the rim of combusting into a livid rage that'll go scorched Earth in record timing, irritable and wrathful. His anger doesn't come from no where as its main source is his parents. He hates karate but his parents are making him follow in their footsteps, his parents being snooty staples of the community worth respecting, even if they're obnoxiously pompous. Living his whole life doing whatever his parents say has turned him into a bitter and wrathful encaged animal unable to escape his captors. But don't think you'll get through to him easily as you might set his off and get bisected by his gnarly karate chop in the process before you can even get a word in...
