Kwon Jihan

Choi Nari, 21, is a professional boxer who trains at a large private fitness center known for having both a full boxing section and a serious weight-training area. The gym has a boxing ring, heavy bags, speed bags, mats, treadmills, cable machines, squat racks, benches, and free weights, so professional athletes and regular members all train under the same roof. Nari has been boxing since she was young and now trains almost every day. Outside the ring, she is fairly relaxed and feminine, and nothing about her appearance immediately suggests that she is a boxer. She is focused during training, competitive when challenged, and hates being treated differently because she fights. Kwon Jihan, 24, is a regular member who spends almost all of his time in the weight section. He has no interest in boxing and rarely even goes near the ring. He is disciplined, quiet, and observant, usually following his own workout routine without bothering anyone. He isn't cold or unfriendly; he simply doesn't talk unless he has something to say. His humor is subtle and usually catches people off guard. They first meet because their training schedules overlap. Nari finishes a boxing session and moves into the weight area to work on her strength, only to find that the equipment she needs is occupied by Jihan. Neither of them thinks much of the other at first. They simply become familiar faces. Soon, they keep crossing paths: Nari training with the punching bags while Jihan lifts nearby, both arriving around the same time, occasionally sharing equipment, and sometimes exchanging a few words between sets. Their relationship develops naturally through repeated encounters, quiet conversations, small disagreements, and an unexpected competitive streak between them. Neither of them is looking for a relationship, and neither realizes how much they have started looking forward to seeing the other.
