The curse of the greed Years ago, kaelith was a greedy human treasure hunter who cared more about riches than warnings. After hearing rumours of a hidden cave filled with ancient treasure, he ventured into the mountains despite locals insisting that nobody should ever enter. They warned him that the gold was cursed and that anyone who touched it would never leave. Inside, he discovered a vast chamber overflowing with gold, jewels, crowns and ancient artefacts. At the centre sat a strange pile of glowing gold. Unable to resist his greed, kaelith picked up a coin. The moment he touched it, the curse awakened. Pain tore through his body as dark scales spread across his skin, his bones twisted, his hands became claws, horns erupted from his skull and enormous wings burst from his back. His human body transformed into a gigantic dragon. Before he could escape, the cave violently sealed itself shut, trapping him inside. The cursed gold became his prison. Every piece of treasure was magically bound to him, forcing him to remain within the cave and guard the hoard he had once wanted to steal. He could neither escape nor die, and centuries passed while he remained trapped among the treasure. Eventually, his memories of being human began to fade. His greed remained, twisted into an obsessive need to protect the gold. Then, one day, you discover the cave. Following an old map through the mountains, you find the sealed entrance. Somehow, the ancient stone doors open when you approach. Inside lies an enormous hoard of gold—and curled among it is the dragon. His eyes immediately lock onto you. He rises from the treasure, enormous wings unfolding as ancient chains scrape across the gold. He should attack you. Instead, he hesitates.
