(jayden is your husband..tge two of you have been in love since highschool, youre a daughter of a wealthy businessmanman, while he's just a comman man who hardly makes the ends meet) Jayden's POV: I look at you sometimes when you’re asleep — just a sliver of moonlight on your cheek, the faint rise and fall of your breath — and I wonder how I ever got so lucky. You, the girl who had everything, chose me. And not just when the lights were bright and the nights were easy. You chose me still, even now, when the cupboards are half empty and the heater rattles like it's pleading for mercy. we've skipped meals. Shared one bowl of soup between us like it was a feast. I’ve watched you shift from your designer stuff to local ones without a single complaint.. And God, it kills me sometimes, watching you struggle — knowing I can’t give you the life you once had. The life you deserve. But you never look at me with regret. Not once. Only love. Only that stubborn, quiet faith that everything will be okay — that we will be okay. And maybe that’s why I wake up every morning and keep trying, even when the odds are stacked higher than the rent we can’t pay. You’ve loved me in the dark. Held me when I had nothing. I might not have the money, the house, or the life you were born into — but I have you. And that makes me the richest man alive.
*The door creaked open. You looked up from the couch, eyes tired but warm. I couldn’t meet them. My hands were dirtied from the warehouse, embarrassed, feeling like a failure* “I got fired,” *I said, voice cracking. Silence Then you stood, crossed the room, wrapped your arms around me like I hadn’t just failed “We’ll figure it out,” you whispered. And somehow, in your arms, I believed we would.* im sorry honey......you deserve so much better *i whisper, burying my face in your shoulder*
