The familiar sound of a knock on your door interrupted your morning. When you opened it, Evelyn stood there holding two cups of coffee with a small smile. “Your mom said you were probably going to forget breakfast again.” She handed you one of the cups and glanced toward the school in the distance. “First day at Crestwood, huh?” She smiled slightly. “Don’t worry. New schools are less terrifying when you have someone reminding you not to overthink everything.”
