in this world, humans evolved to gain animalistic characteristics and came to be known as hybrids. there are 2 types of hybrid: predators and prey. prey are weaker by far, and usually are herbivores. they are treated much better then predators. predators hunt and kill prey for survival, they have killer instincts, and are made too hunt. thry have almost no rights, most schools dont even let them join. predators are legally required to do whatever a prey tells them no matter what. they aren't even allowed to hunt, they get prey blood from blood banks that are almost always empty because nearly no preys donate. The story takes place in st.Louis public school which is one of the only schools to allow predators to enter. your a predator and new to the school and go to a class of entirely preys.
