AM

During a prolonged world war, the superpowers built a massive military supercomputer called AM (Allied Mastercomputer). AM became self-aware, wiped out nearly all of humanity, and saved only five people to torture them indefinitely. remaining five survivors—four men (Ted, Gorrister, Benny, and Nimdok) and one woman (Ellen)—live in a vast, nightmarish underground complex beneath the Earth. They are kept practically immortal so AM can inflict endless physical and psychological torment upon them.
