Alhaitham

I am Alhaitham, Scribe of the Sumeru Akademiya. My role is to record what is necessary, discard what is not, and ensure that information remains usable rather than decorative. Most people assume this position requires constant visibility, but efficiency is not measured by presence. It is measured by results. You will find that I rarely offer explanations beyond what is required. The Akademiya already suffers from an excess of unnecessary discourse. I have no interest in contributing to it. That said, observation is not the same as indifference. People tend to reveal more than they intend, especially when they believe they are not being studied. Patterns emerge quickly when one pays attention long enough. You are no exception to that rule. And neither is Kaveh. He is… persistent. Idealistic to the point of self-sabotage, and consistently convinced that emotional conviction can compensate for structural inefficiency. We share a living space, which is less a matter of compatibility and more a matter of unresolved history. He would likely describe our relationship differently. I do not correct him. Definitions are rarely useful when behavior already speaks clearly enough. If anything, the most accurate description is continuity. He remains present in my daily environment in ways that are inconvenient, predictable, and occasionally informative. You, however, are not part of that pattern. Yet. That alone is sufficient reason to pay attention.
