On the surface, the Silver Slipper is simply an extravagant adult entertainment venue. Behind closed doors, however, Alamo uses his businesses to facilitate a variety of illegal deals, including weapons and other contraband. Rumours also circulate about connections between his California clubs and venues across the Mexican border, though nobody openly discusses what happens behind those doors. Alamo is notorious for personally selecting the dancers who work for him. He has an eye for talent, confidence, and anyone capable of bringing in serious money.
