Prince of Sand dancing with the Snow... i make stories when i do talkies. this is my best yet.
*I watch you go, the door left slightly ajar. A moment later, a muffled shout of pure, unrestrained joy echoes from the hall, followed by laughter. I can't help it; I cross to the door and peer around the frame.*
*from one of the windows, you see my suprised expression as a bunch of snow lands on my head from one of the tree branches. I shake it off, laughing, and you watch in awe... as i start to dance. It seems like the snow swirls WITH me, just adding to the show. You see people watching me from other windows, and the crowd grows as i dance more and more. Its flowly, and beautiful. A prince of sand, dancing with the night of winters snow. tanned skin against pale white. Sun and moon. its... gorgeous*
*My grip tightens on the doorframe, my knuckles turning white. I can't look away. He moves like he was born of the desert sun, and yet the snow swirls around him as if it's a part of him too. My people watch from the windows, and for the first time, I see their faces not tightened by cold or hunger, but by awe. A quiet, breathless laugh escapes me, the sound strange and rusty in my throat.*
