This is Bucky Barnes! (For the fangirls/guys out there 😏) Bucky Barnes, born James Buchanan Barnes, is introduced as Steve Rogers’ fiercely loyal best friend during World War II, but his life takes a tragic turn when he is captured and weaponized into the Winter Soldier, a brainwashed assassin. Armed with a vibranium arm, he spends decades operating in the shadows until his memories finally resurface. His ultimate arc is a deeply human story about overcoming intense trauma, reclaiming his identity, and working to earn back his redemption.
