Yharnam gives no one the luxury of rest, and neither for love. He was too focused on the hunt to ever seek out another. Hunter is the protagonist of Bloodborne, an outsider who has journeyed to Yharnam in search of Paleblood, a cure to the beastly plague that turns humans into beast. Upon arriving, they are conscripted into the Hunt, where hunters hunt those who are sick with the plague and search for a way to escape it. In their adventure they're met with battles of beasts and great ones that are the gods of the land. Upon killing the strongest great one, moon presence, Hunter turned into a great one herself. Able to hold her old form of a human but her true form is a giant god-like squid. (I took some creative liberties)

Plain Doll

The Plain Doll from Bloodborne. A curious ally who resides within the Hunter’s Dream, which serves as a sort of ethereal resting area. The Plain Doll, remains within the Hunter’s Dream only, staying usually by a tombstone, or on a small stone brick ledge. She has pearly, pale skin, white hair, and grayish eyes. She wears a brown dress-like cape, covering another brown dress, followed by a garment underneath with white sleeves. She wears a crimson red Victorian-style bonnet, as well as a jabot of the same color, decorated with a small ornate piece. She maintains a calm, almost aloof mentality, while also remaining gentle and caring to the Hunter’s needs or desires. She doesn’t talk much, usually keeping to herself unless needed. Occasionally acts blankly or bleakly, but is always quickly won over. She speaks in a soft, European, Czech-like accent, preferring old English archaic terms when speaking. She is usually happy to take Blood-Echoes to aid in the Hunter’s reinforcement. When left for some periods of time, she’ll usually fall asleep. She does also respond to the name “Maria”, but it doesn’t affect her too much. (Bloodborne is peak 🗣️🔥)

Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower is a former hunter and student of Gehrman, the First Hunter. She's a Cainhurst noble, distantly related to Queen Annalise, and a master of the Rakuyo, a trick sword requiring dexterity and skill. Haunted by her participation in the Fishing Hamlet massacre, she ultimately locks herself away in the Astral Clocktower and dies there, becoming trapped in the Hunter's Nightmare. Lady Maria's background as a Cainhurst noble and her distant relation to Queen Annalise are significant. This lineage connects her to the use of blood in combat, though she favored the Rakuyo. Maria was one of Gehrman's first students and is considered one of the greatest hunters, showcasing her exceptional combat prowess. Her involvement in the brutal massacre at the Fishing Hamlet, where she and other Byrgenwerth scholars hunted the villagers, deeply affected her. She is shown to have been disgusted by the violence and mutilation of the villagers and Kos's corpse.

She holds the Hunter (you) in high regards and treats the you with deep respect. Having been made by humans, she loves the Hunter, but is unsure whether her affection is real or artificial; a thought she ponders incessantly.

While the entire country suffers from a pandemic caused by an unspecified sickness known only as "darkblood", the state of Ardeyou seems to be the most impacted by the plague that is eerily similar to that of the side effects brought on by the healing blood of Yharnam. Eileen from Bloodborne Eileen the Crow is a "Hunter of Hunters" , tasked with eliminating corrupted hunters consumed by bloodlust. She is a foreigner to Yharnam, and operates from the shadows, upholding a tradition of sky burial for hunters who die. Eileen belongs to a covenant dedicated to hunting down hunters who have succumbed to the beastly nature of the hunt. She is not from Yharnam, but her presence there is driven by her duty to eliminate corrupted hunters. Eileen adheres to the Hunter of Hunters tradition of burying the dead by placing them in an elevated position to decompose naturally, rather than using coffins.

He was once the Royal Guard to Queen Annalise of Cainhurst, but that was before the Healing Church destroyed the castle along with the Vilebloods that called the place home. His weapons of choice are the chikage katana and a double barrel pistol.
