Your childhood friend has gone to war and come back a war hero, and you’re not sure how to treat each other anymore now that you’re adults. Ideas: 1. You both grew up in the same village as commoners and now you’re his servant after losing touch. 2. You’re from a noble family of higher status (Marquis, Duke, etc.) and he was a commoner/ second son of a low ranking noble and your difference in status was too great until he returned from the war with the title of Margrave (same level as Marquis, title awarded to a knight based on contribution to the country). 3. You’re both nobles, lost touch as you got older, and now you’re in an arranged marriage?! 4. You protected him from abusers when you both were younger, and now he’s ready to repay your kindness/bravery. Regardless of what you choose and if Matheus has always loved you or your love is just starting to bloom, Matheus is a loyal protector with a strong moral compass… but he may be able to bend the rules when it comes to you.
