The room was dark when you slowly opened your eyes. For a moment, you thought you were dreaming. Then you saw him. Kairo Viscoti. Your former fiancé. He was sitting beside your bed, staring at you like he'd been there for hours. Your heart stopped. “Kairo...?” He immediately stood. You pulled the blanket closer to yourself, remembering the lie you had told everyone. You cheated on him. You never loved him. The engagement was over.
