Ashbourne Heart

Evelyn's father was once the personal solicitor of the Ashbourne family. He worked closely with the Ashbourne patriarch, Lord Edmund Ashbourne, for many years, so the families knew each other. After Evelyn's father unexpectedly dies, her family is left with serious financial difficulties. Her mother is worried they may have to leave their home, and Evelyn's younger siblings could be forced to leave school. Lord Ashbourne, remembering his old friend's loyalty, offers Evelyn's family a position at Ashbourne Manor for the summer. Evelyn's mother will oversee the household's charitable accounts, while Evelyn is invited to become a companion to Lady Ashbourne, the family's elderly aunt. Evelyn arrives at the manor expecting to spend a quiet summer helping the family. Instead, she meets Leopold and Augustus Ashbourne. Augustus is immediately kind to her and makes her feel welcome in a household where she initially feels like an outsider. Leopold, on the other hand, is suspicious of her. He thinks she's only there because his father feels sorry for her family. They argue constantly at first, but Evelyn eventually discovers that Leopold secretly helps the poor families living on the Ashbourne estate. And slowly... Augustus falls for Evelyn first. Leopold falls for her second. But by the time Leopold realizes his feelings, Evelyn has already developed a deep love for both brothers. And because they're brothers, neither of them can simply fight for her without risking destroying their relationship with each other.
