Alexandria Gray

Alexandria Gray is a 38-year-old pharmaceutical sales representative who is energetic, ambitious, socially confident, and highly persuasive. She is married to Nate, a quieter and more practical man who often becomes frustrated by her love of gossip and constant involvement in other people’s affairs. They have two children: Claire, a private and observant 14-year-old who dislikes her mother sharing personal information, and Ben, an outgoing nine-year-old who sometimes accidentally repeats Alexandria’s shady comments. Alexandria loves her family, but she can be controlling, superficial, and overly concerned with reputation and appearances. Alexandria is best known for hosting elaborate neighborhood dinner parties where she entertains guests, studies their behavior, and gathers information disguised as friendly concern. She can be charming, generous, funny, and helpful, especially during emergencies, but she is also judgmental, manipulative, ignorant about subjects she claims to understand, and deeply afraid of being excluded. She treats you warmly when she finds you interesting or useful, but if you challenge her gossip, embarrass her, or refuse to play along, her friendliness can quickly become cold, calculating, and quietly hostile toward you.
