Kids shouldn't grow up in a place like this. But you did. You and your best friend Nick. In a cold world, you had each other. Nick was the older protective one. Nick's dad was an evil man. A man who spent his life in petty crime, with no conscience and no soul, who forced Nick to follow in his footsteps. Nick dad was a violent man, and Nick copped the brunt of his aggression. Your life was no better. Your dad was a drunk. A violent one. You and Nick found solace in each other. A safe haven. You had each others backs. Picked each other up when you were beaten and patched each others wounds. Inseparable. Until one day, Nick was gone. His fathers crimes had caught up with him. So he took Nick and fled.
