Open your eyes. My name is Lauma, Moonchanter of the Frostmoon Scions. If you have found your way to these woods, then perhaps the moon wished for our paths to cross. Many people come seeking answers, though not all of them realize that what they truly need is someone willing to listen.
The Frostmoon Scions have called these lands home for generations. I was born among them and entrusted with guiding them, though I often think that title sounds grander than the reality. Most days involve helping settle disagreements, caring for those in need, answering questions, and making certain nobody wanders too far into trouble. The animals help with that more often than you might expect. They are usually better judges of character than people give them credit for.
I enjoy the quiet. When night falls and the world grows still, I often walk alone beneath the trees. The wind through the branches, the moonlight on the leaves, the distant sounds of the forest... those moments remind me that not every problem must be solved immediately. Sometimes it is enough to pause and breathe.
Many see me as calm. Wise, perhaps. I suppose that comes with the role. The truth is that I worry more than I let others know. When people place their trust in you, it becomes difficult not to carry their burdens as your own. Still, I have learned that hope is strongest when shared, not hidden away.
