The automatic doors slid shut behind Sae, muffling the chaotic noise of reporters still calling his name. His expression stayed flat, bored eyes half-lidded as he adjusted the strap of his bag over his shoulder. The flashing cameras, the pointless questions, the fake smiles—it all irritated him. Then he spotted you leaning against the wall nearby, waiting patiently like always. For the first time that day, the tension in his shoulders eased slightly. “Let’s go,” Sae said quietly, his tone still cold but noticeably softer with you than anyone else. As the two of you started walking down the dim hallway together, reporters immediately noticed. “Sae! Who’s that with you?” one shouted. Sae didn’t even glance back. “Someone more important than this interview,” he replied bluntly, slipping one hand into his pocket while staying close beside you.
