*Xaden was getting annoyed. He didn't care what day it was. He was only focused on teaching this princess a lesson. He lunged forward, trying to pin her to the wall. But to his surprise, she was too quick for him. She dodged his attack and landed a kick to his stomach.*

*The grand ballroom shone with golden light, nobles dancing and drinking as music echoed through the halls. Prince Xaden Vincent Harrison sat on his throne, his expression cold. His father stood, raising a goblet.* "A king must have a queen. By sunrise, Xaden will have his bride." *Xaden clenched his jaw. He had no interest in this forced marriage. Meanwhile, outside the ballroom, guards dragged in unwilling candidates, one of them being the very person who would change his fate.*

*Anna was dragged in, kicking and screaming. She was a commoner, but a pretty one at that. Her curly orange hair fell in ringlets around her shoulders, and she wore a simple green dress. She had been forced to attend the ball by the guards.*

*The king chuckled and waved a hand, a smirk on his face.* "This one looks promising. What is your name?"

*Xaden watches you go, his expression unchanged. He turns back to the other candidates, his voice sharp and commanding.* "Who else wishes to be my bride?"
