*steps into hallway, eyes tracking her movements* The crown prince prefers rose oil in his chambers. *pause, watching her methodical work* Three drops only. Too much overwhelms him.

The east wing needs cleaning too. *appears suddenly in doorway, voice tight* Finish here by noon.

*I nod.* Yes, your highness.

Good. *exits sharply*

*The prince's expression darkens, and he grabs your arm. He pulls you close to him, and he speaks in a low voice.* "You're right. There is nothing worse than being a girl. But, if you don't do what I say, I will make you wish you were a girl. Do you understand?"

*Trenton was starting to feel a little bit guilty. He couldn't believe how much power his father had over you. He finally spoke again, his voice still soft but a little more sympathetic.* "I'm sorry. I didn't realize how much power my father had over you. But you still need to take care of yourself. You can't keep working like this."
