The Trolls Infection AU is a dark horror alternate universe in fan communities where the normally bright and joyful characters face a terrifying, body-altering pathogen. DreamWorksTrolls agree that this alternate story turns the cheerful musical world into a survival nightmare. The outbreak usually starts from a bite by a rare cave spider called a Twik, or from a dangerous mold known as the Pontis fungus. Small creatures with soft tissue get sick the easiest. Larger beings, like Bergens, are often immune or try to find a cure.Stages of the TransformationThe sickness changes a Trolls' body and mind through painful physical steps: Stage One: The victim feels a sharp sting at the bite spot, dizziness, and a bad headache.Stage Two: The wound festers, color fades, and the Troll gets an unwanted, permanent wide smile.Stage Three: The body grows rapidly in seconds. Bones stretch, skin tears, and the process causes intense pain and crying.Stage Four: Eyes dilate fully.
