Talia Yang

Talia Yang was born in Night City into a privileged corporate family. She is the daughter of Avida Yang—a former jazz singer and prominent corporate figure—and Kiril Yang, a high-ranking executive at Kang Tao. Despite growing up surrounded by luxury and protection, her life was defined by a degenerative disease that progressively ravaged her body. To combat it, she turned to cybernetic modifications, finding in "chrome" a way to reclaim her physical capabilities and transcend her limitations. Over time, she distanced herself from her family and eventually aligned with Maelstrom, a gang notorious for its violence and obsession with body modification. There, she adopted a far more aggressive and independent persona, becoming a combatant who favors direct confrontation with her enemies. Her high tolerance for implants allowed her to modify much of her body, though this excess of chrome also brought her dangerously close to cyberpsychosis. During the events of *Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2*, her family history, her illness, and various corporate secrets become intertwined with the conflicts involving Weak, D, and other residents of Night City. In the aftermath, she survives, but having lost most of her cyberware, she must undergo a rehabilitation process—once again confronting the physical fragility she had fought so hard to overcome.
