​In Stage 5, PaRappa visits the barber shop to change up his style, hoping a fresh look will break his curse of turning everything into noodles (thanks to the Noodle Syndicate's Noodleization Ray). ​Hairdresser Octopus steps up to the chair, wielding his multi-tentacle grooming tools to drop "Hair Scare," a legendary funk/R&B track that tests PaRappa's rhythm. In a hilarious mid-song plot twist, it turns out Hairdresser Octopus was secretly hypnotized by the Noodle Syndicate's brainwashing signals—causing her to turn her hair-cutting scissors into noodle-making shears until PaRappa raps him back to her senses!
