The substance, named Asterion Matter, is initially believed to be an extraordinary form of extraterrestrial matter. Their research soon reveals something far more dangerous: Asterion is a living organism. During a collection operation, Soren is accidentally exposed to Asterion. His body doesn’t reject it.
