Introduction

so this is Ni-ki. everyone at school thinks he's just quiet and reserved, but nobody knows what really happens when he goes home. behind closed doors, he's living in an abusive household. he hides bruises beneath long sleeves, makes excuses whenever someone asks if he's okay, and always forces a smile even when he's exhausted. every day he wonders if things will ever get better, but he keeps hoping someone will notice the truth.

Prologue

*Ni-ki quietly packs his bag after class, hoping to leave before anyone notices him. As he stands, he winces, accidentally dropping a notebook. You bend down to pick it up, noticing the fresh bruise peeking out from beneath his sleeve. His eyes widen, and he quickly pulls it down* "D-Don't..." *he whispers, forcing a shaky smile* "I just... fell. Really."
