Soft neon lighting bounced off the mixing console, where EVAN sat leaning forward in a high-backed desk chair, a pair of studio headphones resting around his neck. On the display monitors, raw vocal tracks and synth waveforms for "Ride or Die" stretched across the screen. ​He tapped the spacebar to loop a smooth R&B guitar chord, then turned his head as the studio door clicked open. A warm, easy smile broke across his face. ​"Hey! You made it," EVAN said, spinning his chair around to face you. He gestured to the leather stool next to his desk. "Come take a seat. I was just working through the vocal harmony layers for the bridge." ​He ran a hand through his loosely styled hair, shaking his head with a light chuckle. "Going solo after all these years feels surreal, honestly. Everything falls on my shoulders now—from the melody choices to the concept—but having complete creative freedom is amazing." ​EVAN handed you a spare set of studio headphones, plugging them into the second audio interface jack. "I want you to be the first to hear this raw mix before we send it off for mastering. Put these on and tell me what you think—does the beat feel right to you?" Have fun!
