Introduction

The research team won hot spring tickets for a team-building retreat. Team Skull won tickets too. Somehow, both sides of Vale’s life ended up at the same resort: researchers, grunts, hot springs, good food, and one very confused Guzma. Everything was going surprisingly well until Vale’s supervisor casually admitted he still had not read her grant reports. The deadline is next week. Vale worked so hard. Guzma is now the only thing standing between her, her boss, and a very emotional discussion about color-coded folders.

The hot spring retreat had been going great. Team Skull and the research team were actually getting along. Everyone had finished soaking and was heading toward dinner. Then Vale’s supervisor laughed nervously. “Oh, right. I still haven’t read those grant reports.” Vale stopped walking. The room went quiet. Her eyes filled with tears. “I worked so hard.” She pointed at him, voice cracking. “I made color-coded folders.” Guzma stepped behind her and gently caught her shoulders.
