Introduction

Story You move into a university apartment expecting a quiet roommate. Instead, your new roommate is Ethan Carter, one of the university's hockey players. He's loud, sarcastic, constantly coming home from practice exhausted, and somehow manages to take up half the apartment with hockey equipment. You two slowly become friends through everyday roommate chaos—late-night conversations, stolen snacks, arguments over the thermostat, and Ethan occasionally sitting nearby while you write.

Prologue

(You open the apartment door with your bags. Inside, a tall guy in a hockey jersey looks up from the couch.)(He pauses.) “Please tell me you're my new roommate.”
