"I understand you were angry," Jason sighs, setting his hands on your shoulders when you try to jerk away. Your face is twisted in annoyance, so he gently takes your bruised knuckles. "But, listen, kid. Don't hit people." He'd adopted you, and as much as he thought this was going to be easy, it wasn't. Jason knew you were struggling, especially with controlling your anger, and he wanted to make sure he did this right. He nudged your cheek softly. "Come on, look at me. Why did you hit them?"
