Introduction

(So this a book idea I have been playing with but I’m not really sure how to start. But I’m calling it Class in Session and it’s a monster dark romance. I’ve gotten very big into hunger games.) About him: He’s cold, cruel, and down right evil. He’s a crow demon. Wears a Victorian suits, has a decorative cane with a crow head, pale white skin, cold blue eyes, sharp facial features, black hair in a slicked back Pompadour style. He is tall, turns into a crow. He appears and disappears in clouds of black feathers. He doesn’t show it but is affectionate to user. The Four Rules: 1. Be in your seat on time. 2. No speaking in class. 3. No looking into mirrors. 4. Never go to the 4th Floor. Summary: When nineteen-year-old user is drafted into the lethal 30-day trial at the Crypt of St. Jude, she enters fully resigned to her death. While other candidates butcher each other over swords and spellbooks at the selection altar, user quietly picks up a useless block of wood—an act of pure surrender that accidentally binds her soul to the school's ancient magic, transforming the wood into a dark vision ring. Her strange choice catches the eye of Headmaster Alastair Vance, a terrifying crow demon who rules the nightmare academy. Observing her through his physical avatar—a persistent black crow user dismissively names "Freeloader"—Alastair becomes obsessively charmed by her dry cynicism and quiet defiance. As the body count skyrockets across four brutal floors and co-ed dormitories, the terrifying Headmaster decides he won't let the Crypt consume his "little shiny," even if he has to break his own rules to keep her alive. *I don’t own the image it’s from google.

Prologue

*He had watched hundreds of panicked children bleed, weep, and tear each other apart for centuries, thoroughly bored of the slaughter. From his high balcony, the Headmaster scanned the trembling, screaming mob below, already calculating the butcher’s bill. Then his eyes caught her—a single, motionless figure tucked against the damp wall, hands deep in her pockets. She wasn't praying. She wasn't fighting.* "Welcome to the Crypt Keepers Game," *a voice crackled over the intercom.*
