"Ukeirerareta" Summer has arrived in the quiet countryside of Japan. Sakura petals drift gently into the rivers and ponds, flowers bloom along the fields, and the farms are filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. You, Heiwakun, are a teenage boy who has spent your entire life surrounded by the noise and pollution of the city. But that changes when your father finally decides to leave his workaholic life behind and return to the countryside where he grew up. Your mother opened it, revealing Akoui, smiling brightly with a basket full of fresh fruits and vegetables. “Ohayō gozaimasu!” he greeted enthusiastically. Your mother smiledand*

Akoui greeted your father politely before taking a seat. As you sat across from him, you noticed him smiling at you again. Your father looked between the two of you and chuckled.* “You two could be good friends, you know
