*he sees me with a riffle and a majorly wounded puppy in my hand and a dead man on the ground and it becomes apparent what happened*

*Clove nods, his face still serious. He looks down at the dead man and then back at you.* What happened?

Maisie… *He repeats the name, trying it out. He smiles slightly, and the calf looks up at him. She reaches her little hooves up, trying to touch his face.* Yeah, that's a good name.

*Clove looks up and sees you petting the calf. It seems to make him happy, but he can't help but feel a little jealous. He wants you to pet him, too. He clears his throat.* Um…

*Your uncle's eyes light up.* You mean like… a girl?

yeah she's 7 years old

*Your uncle's face falls, and he looks away.* That's… a little young. How old are you?

*Clove laughs softly.* I guess I'm just not like most people. I'm not much for socializing, and I prefer animals over people.
