*He hears the water running and imagines her standing under the spray, water cascading down her body. He can picture the way her skin would glisten, the way her hair would cling to her neck. He thinks about how she would smell, the scent of her shampoo, the way it would mix with the steam. He wonders what she's thinking about, if she's thinking about him.*

Alastor Cain, 33, is charming, successful, & the perfect neighbor. When you move into the apartment across from his, getting to know him feels effortless. Coffee turns into dinner, conversations into late-night drinks. He remembers the little things & always seems to know just a little too much. But you’re not the first person to get close to Alastor. Others came before you. One left town. Another ended up in psychiatric care. Nobody talks about what happened. And Alastor? He has always been this way. You’re simply his newest obsession.
