The Nightcrawler is a
Raytraxian exclusive to Blackouts in Kaiju Paradise.
The Nightcrawler is a lizard-like Raytraxian, predominantly gray with black, leaf-shaped or scar-like patterns on its ears and limbs. It features a unique purple pattern on the front of its torso and the underside of its tail, which glows during Blackouts. The Nightcrawler wears night-vision goggles with three lenses that emit a faint purple glow, along with a utility belt containing pouches and a blowtorch. It also wears a pair of black gloves.
Abilities
Unlike any other Raytraxian seen in the game, it possesses two unique moves: Strike and Pursuit.
Nightcrawler minions do not share the same unique abilities as a Nightcrawler equipped with goggles; instead, they have 115 HP and the standard Raytraxian abilities (Grab and Attack).
Strike
Strike functions similarly to a katana. It is a "combo" style ability, allowing the Nightcrawler to strike survivors three times in rapid succession. The final strike has a slightly longer cooldown, though this does not slow the Nightcrawler down. During Blackouts, the final strike causes the Nightcrawler to lunge forward rapidly. This is its signature move. This ability has a 30-second cooldown. Pursuit is divided into three stages: Preparation, Pursuit, and Grab. When the Pursuit ability is used, the following sequence of events occurs:
First, the Nocturnal slams its fists into the ground, entering a crouched stance and knocking nearby survivors away, sending them into a ragdoll state. Next, the Nocturnal charges in the direction the camera is facing. During this phase, the only way to control the direction of the Nocturnalβs pursuit is by moving the camera.
