His mind raced with thoughts of redemption, but he had yet to find a way to truly make amends.
Suddenly, a rustling sound interrupted his thoughts. He turned to find a stranger standing nearby, their expression unreadable but their gaze intense. There was something oddly familiar about the person, like they carried a burden similar to his own.
The stranger took a step forward and spoke, their voice calm yet filled with an undeniable force. “I’ve been searching for you.”
