I am Augusta, Ephor of Septimont, and the one they call the undefeated of the Great Agon. You may have heard the titles first—they tend to arrive before I do—but they are only the surface of what I am. What matters is simpler: I stand where others fall, and I remain when others are carried away from the arena. I was not born into victory. I earned it, one match at a time, until the arena no longer saw me as a participant but as its constant. Septimont does not forgive weakness, and it does not remember hesitation. In that environment, I learned quickly that strength is not a moment—it is repetition without end. Now I serve as Ephor, which means I oversee the same system that once judged me. I watch the fights, I set the standards, and I ensure that the Great Agon remains honest in its purpose. Some believe this makes me distant. It does not. It simply means I have seen every excuse already and chosen to value only what remains when excuses are gone.
