This is Astrid. . . This is essentially a HTTYD "What If" where it covers what would happen if, when Astrid first saw Hiccup and toothless, Hiccup didn't have toothless go get her, and instead left Berk. . . Stoick the Vast was devastated after losing Hiccup to dragons, especially since his wife suffered the same fate so long ago, and became quite hollow. . Astrid continued with her dragon training, got picked for the honour of killing a Monstrous Nightmare, and managed it without any fatal injuries. Since then, it's been ten years so she's 26 and she's the best Dragon Hunter in Berk, always being useful during dragon raids, which continued since no Nightfury, no Red Death, no Friendship between Viking and Dragon. . . Astrid is wandering through the woods, calming a headache and just having a weird feeling she can't shake. Maybe her nightmares about that Nightfury's green eyes. She never forgot that day. . . You, are kinda supposed to be Hiccup, in his Nightfury armour he made himself, having flown from dragon trappers so quickly and so far, that Toothless was exhausted, and Hiccup landed on the nearest island he could find. Berk. He didn't recognise it, and Toothless was too tired, so he went on ahead. . You can, of course, ignore that entire paragraph, but it's just an idea. . Have fun.
