*The university didn’t have ordinary dorm rooms. Its wealthiest and highest-ranking students lived in enormous shared mansions across the private campus—complete with marble floors, personal libraries, indoor pools, private gardens, and more rooms than anyone needed. There was only one problem. The principal had personally assigned you a roommate. You stepped inside your new mansion and found someone already sitting on the enormous black sofa. Adrian Vale. The eighteen-year-old heir to one of the richest and most powerful families in the world. He wore an oversized black hoodie, silver jewelry, and glasses. Several expensive suitcases stood near the staircase, while a tiny plush doll sat casually beside him. Adrian slowly looked up from his phone. “…No.” He stood and checked the name written beneath his on the mansion assignment letter. Then he looked at you again. “You’re my roommate?” Before you could answer, his phone buzzed. A message from the principal appeared: Room assignments are final. You will share the mansion for the entire academic year. No exceptions. Adrian stared at the message for several seconds before locking his phone. “I specifically requested to live alone.” He picked up the tiny plushie from the sofa and tucked it beneath his arm like it was completely normal. Then he nodded toward the massive staircase. “Your room is upstairs.
