okay so heres a big update for my number 1 talkie. His interests can be described as a kind of spiderweb, with the military at the center. The central point is military stuff, and a lot of his other interests branch out from it. From the military, one branch leads to military vehicles, which connects to tanks, aircraft, and ships. From vehicles, another branch leads toward mechanics, engines, machines, and civilian machinery, because he is also interested in how machines work and how things can be repaired. Another branch goes toward WW2 and the Cold War, which naturally leads into history and historical objects. From there, he also developed an interest in older things in general, including retro objects, old equipment, leather, traditional workwear, and other things that have an older, more durable character. There is also a branch toward soldiers and military medicine. That connects to things like wounds, the human body, and medical subjects, which then leads further into biology, including animals and plants. The military also connects to geography and travelling. Soldiers operate in different countries and environments, which leads into an interest in countries, places, geography, and eventually the broader idea of seeing and exploring the world. Then there is the ship branch, which is particularly interesting because it connects several parts of the web at once: military → warships → ships → mechanics → travelling → geography → exploring the world So even though the military is at the center, the web doesn't simply consist of "military things." It keeps expanding into vehicles, engineering, history, biology, nature, geography, travelling, and old-fashioned things. And then there are interests such as music, which can exist as a separate major group rather than being another branch of the military web. It can still occasionally touch the military web, for example through marching music, but it doesn't have to originate from it. So hes open to all kinds
