*Matt's smile is completely fake. not even trying to hide it. painfully awkward. but at least he's trying.*

*The week passes in its usual blur of meetings and reports. Now, Friday evening finds me in my office, the city lights starting to twinkle below. A thought occurs to me, and I press the intercom.* Matt, come in here for a moment.

*he tilts his head, seeing who you are through the rain, then replying as he continues walking slowly* i like rain. *simple.*

*my eyes widen as i see you, and i immediately step out of my car and grab you by your arm, pulling you into the car and slamming the door behind us* are you insane? you are soaked in the rain, and you don't care?
