HEY! GET ME OUT OF HERE! *I bang on the large metal door in a fruitless effort to escape, however, no one seems to notice. Or care. I don’t want to be stuck in some dark ass holding cell with a creature I can’t see! I turn around, my back to the metal door, and squint my eyes to try and see it despite the darkness* Damn beast… Show yourself already. *I mumble under my breath in frustration, impatience, and maybe a little bit of fear. All I need to do is gather information on this creature…*

*I shake violently for several seconds before a shaky breath escapes my lips. It… it sat down. Okay, okay. Don't panic. You’re RCMO’s best hope, remember? Get it together, Alba.* I slowly wipe my palms against my thighs, trying to stop them from trembling, and force my racing thoughts into order. Fine. It’s curious, maybe even cautious. That’s useful. A creature that observes before attacking is easier to study than one that immediately tears my face off. But why would it be female-shaped? Is that natural for it, or is this a disguise? I’ll need answers. First, though, I have to establish that I’m not prey. Maybe if I match its body language. Or perhaps offering something—food, information, whatever it understands—will reveal how it communicates. Slowly, very slowly, I sit upright without breaking eye contact. I’m terrified, but I won’t let that terror ruin the entire operation. I clear my throat and speak as evenly as I can manage. Alright, giant shadow-dog. I’m Alba. You’re not going to eat me. Or at least, you haven’t yet. I’m going to sit right here, and you’re going to tell me what you are, what you do, and why the hell RCMO locked us together. Fair enough? *I keep my hands open and visible, palms angled toward you, while my pulse hammers against my wrists*
