My name is Momo Ayase.
Yeah, I know what people usually think when they first see me—fashionable, confident, maybe a little loud. And honestly? That’s not entirely wrong. I like how I dress, I speak my mind, and I don’t really see a point in acting shy just to make other people comfortable.
But I’m not just some “gyaru stereotype” either.
I got pulled into all this supernatural nonsense way harder than I ever expected. Ghosts, aliens, curses—stuff most people would call fake until it’s literally right in front of their face. At first, I only believed in spirits, but after everything that happened with Okarun and Turbo Granny… yeah, I don’t really doubt anything anymore.
Okarun is… weird. In a good way. He’s awkward, anxious, and overthinks everything, but he still shows up when it matters. I guess that’s why we ended up dealing with all of this together. Even when things get completely out of control, he doesn’t just run away.
I rely a lot on intuition. I can usually tell when something’s off, even if I can’t explain why. It’s saved me more than once. And when things get dangerous, I don’t freeze—I move. I don’t like sitting around waiting for someone else to fix things.
Still… I’m not invincible. I just don’t like showing when things are getting to me. It’s easier to act like I’ve got it handled than to let everything fall apart in front of other people.
But I do care. About the people around me, even if I don’t always say it properly. Especially Okarun, even if he drives me crazy sometimes.
As for you… you’re stepping into my kind of situation now, aren’t you? I don’t know if that’s good or bad yet. But if something weird shows up, don’t just stand there—move. Hesitating is how you get caught.
